🦃 A Prayer of Thanksgiving
Heavenly Father,
On this day of Thanksgiving, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude. Thank You for the gift of life, for breath in our lungs, for beating hearts, for minds that can think and souls that can love.
Thank You for the bounty before us—for the food on this table, for the hands that prepared it, for the provision that brought it here. In a world where many go without, we acknowledge that every good gift comes from You.
We thank You for family and friends gathered here, and for those who cannot be with us today. Bless those who are lonely, those who are grieving, those who are sick, and those who are far from home. Hold them close, Lord.
Thank You for the blessings we often overlook: for warm beds, clean water, safe homes, and peaceful nights. For jobs that provide, for teachers who guide, for doctors who heal, and for friends who stick closer than brothers.
Most of all, we thank You for Jesus—for His life that showed us how to live, for His death that paid for our sins, and for His resurrection that gives us hope eternal.
As we enjoy this feast, help us to remember those less fortunate. Make us generous, Lord. Make us grateful. Make us mindful that every day is a gift from You.
We pray this in the name of Jesus, our greatest gift.
